HOSCO Crew Management Co., Ltd., founded in 1998, is a subsidiary of HOSCO. The company has a team of over 1,6 00 crews with professional knowledge and plentiful experiences，and most of them are college graduates of maritime, such as Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Maritime University, Jimei Maritime University, Wuhan University of Technology, Dalian Marine College, Nanjing Marine College and so on. In 2002, HOSCO Crew Management Co., Ltd. was approved by Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (the Ministry of Commerce now) for overseas crew manning.
HOSCO Crew Management Co., Ltd. not only provides crew manning services to HOSCO but also serves other shipowners at home and abroad. We have succeeded in providing
satisfactory services for shipowners of Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia as well as China Mainland so far. Our crews receive the following training at our own Crew Training Centre in addition to training required in STCW95: (1) English; (2) Specific Technology Training:welding and hot works for Sailors and Motormen, apparatus dismantling and assembling and electronic acknowledge for Engineers, etc; (3) Comprehensive Training prior to Embarking, including safety consciousness, service and observance consciousness, enterprise culture,personnel safety protection, the Company’s ISM system, key points of PSC inspection, cargo loss prevention,characters of engine room management etc; (4) Commercial training for master and chief officers (5) Operation Training for chief engineer and second engineer; (6) Other training. Additionally, our masters and chief officers holding Certificate of Maneuvering very Large Ship issued by MSA and ordinary crew holding Qualification Certificate for Hot Works issued by CCS and have rich experiences of working on large bulk carriers especially on Panamax bulk carriers. Some of them can serve on general cargo vessels and container vessels. In order to supply more competent and qualified crews to our customers, we established branch offices in Shanghai and Suzhou, which contribute to enrollment, training and manning of crew for the company.
