HOSCO Milestones
●On 9 Dec. 2011, HOSCO GROUP and China Shipping signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
●On 24 September 2011, “Rich China” managed by HOSCO GROUP successfully connected onshore electricity in Lianyungang, and be the first Capesize to use onshore electricity in the world.
●On 22 June 2011, standing committee of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of China, Mr. Xi Jinping had a meeting with a group of Hong Kong Political Consultive Committee including Mr. Gao Yanming. There are more than 70 members in the group, and Chairman Gao was the Honorable Chairman of Hong Kong Political Consultive Committee and Standing committee of Political Consultive Committee in Hebei Province.
●On 24 October 2010, Digitized Marine High-Voltage Variable-Frequency Shore Powersupply System developed by HOSCO GROUP and Lianyungang Port Group was in operation officially.
●On 13 October 2010, HOSCO GROUP was honored as “Bulk Carrier Award” and “Enterprises with Social Responsibility Award” in the China International Marine Award Ceremony, held by Seatrade of England. The Capesize with DWT 180,000, mainly designed by Chairman Gap Yanming was awarded as “Ship of the Year”.
●On 19 March 2010, Hong Kong Marine Department and Hong Kong Shipowner Association co-issued HOSCO GROUP “Boldness Award” for the salvation of 5 Philippine fishers by HOSCO GROUP managed vessel “Hebei Lion” in 2009.
●On 30 April 2008, the first Chinese style ship with DWT 180,000 in HOSCO GROUP began to keel laying in Qingdao Huangdao Shipyard.
●On 8 Jan. 2008, HOSCO developed to be a GROUP, meanwhile HOSCO was known as “HOSCO GROUP”
●On 25 May 2007,HOSCO held the press conference on 16х180,000 dwt newbuildings in People’s Hall.
●On 1 May 2007, Primer Wen Jiabao, Secretary Bai Keming and Mayor Guo Gengmao in Hebei Province paid a visit to Caofeidian port, where Primer Wen had a meeting and took a picture with Chairman Gao Yanming in the spot.
●On 29 December 2006, MV Hebei Mountain began her conversion in COSCO Shipyard Dalian branch, which was HOSCO’s first VLCC double hull conversion.
●In June 2005, Chairman Gao Yanming was awarded as “National Excellent Enterpriser”, and HOSCO was awarded as “National Excellent Enterprise”.
●On 22, February 2005, HOSCO was awarded as “The biggest Fleet Registration” by Hong kong Marine Bureau and Hong kong Ship owners’ Association.
●On 2 Dec. 2004, HOSCO officially held a ceremony for the maiden voyage of MV “Hebei Innovator” in Shanhaiguan shipyard. The vessel was the first converted vessel from VLCC to VLCC in the world.
●On 18 March 2004, HOSCO took over the first VLCC “Hebei Mountain”, which made HOSCO successfully enter into the oil transporting market.
●On 4 Nov. 2003, HOSCO took over the first capsize “Hebei Dragon”, which enable HOSCO to firstly operate such a large bulk carrier.
●In Sep. 2002, Qinhuangdao Tyhoon Trade Co., Ltd. was established.
●At the end of Aug. 2002, HOSCO established shipping agencies in Shanghai, Dalian, and Tianjin.
●On 18 Jan. 2001, HOSCO finished the share restructure. Hebei Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd. was officially established and Mr. Gao Yanming was elected as the Chairman.
●In Sep. 1999, HOSCO’s Safety Management System passed CCS’s audit and got the DOC.
●In Dec. 1999, HOSCO took over the first large bulk carrier “Hebei No.1”, and entered bulk carrying market
●On 8 Jan. 1998, the Communist Party in the Bureau of Hebei Communications pointed Mr. Gao Yanming as the general manager of HOSCO, and Mr. Gao Yanming was officially on his duty as of 9th January.
●On 31 Aug. 1980, the voyage ceremony of the first oceangoing cargo vessel “Xing Long” of HOSCO was held in Qinhuangdao port.
